AWKWARDLY LARGE CHILD

KRIS + KODI = AWKWARDLY LARGE CHILD

blahg

Three posts in less than an hour. I guess that makes me one of those dorky bloggers. So I have no new art to post anywhere. Not because I haven't made anything but because I'm too lazy to use my neolithic scanner. and I can't take pictures of my stuff because I have no batteries in my camera. I've got 20 rolls of film waiting to be developed. sitting in my closet. I'm never going to walgreens for that. ever again. so its cvs or dale. I have to go to dale anyway and both require bus rides. blugh.
Played my drums yesterday. I think I can do anything by the white stripes, the strokes and maybe peter bjorn and john but maybe not EVERYTHING. I taught myself come together by the beatles but apparently conner hates that. the only time, for the most part, that she will bark at me when I play drums is when I do the beginning part o the song (B, B, HH, HH, HH, HH, T1, T1, T1, T2, T2, T2, FT, FT, FT, FT)(hahaaaa like that makes any sense...)
continued with my garden yesterday. I had to dig about 3 or 4 inches deep in a 6'x4' space. on paper it doesnt sound like much but it was actually 5 wheel barrows full of dirt. then after I put the mesh down in the plant bed, I get to sift al the rocks and weeds out of that pile of dirt and then shovel it all back into the plant bed! yay! then once my compost is ready, I lay the compost down, mix it up a little and then I have to wait almost a whole extra month before the soil is ready to plant. This garden is definitely forcing me to learn patience... but anyway. I got some organic vegetable seeds yesterday.
- beets
- carrots
- lettuce
- green onions
- cucumbers
- green beans

and here's some more art that you've already seen

awkwardly large compostable target employee

started a band with kodi called awkwardly large child and we have had one band practice. it was more like breaking the musical ice session #1. we're probably having another band practice tomorrow. hopefuly at my house since we dont have the synth anymore and i can come up with a better drum beat when i can do it on the spot rather than recording it and hoping it will work. so that should be fun.

also start training at target tomorrow. 5 HOURS WOOHOOOO!

also starting an organic vegetable garden. so first i have to start a compost pile so I have to start collecting waste. DELISH. coffee grounds, tea bags, banana peels, apple skins, old lettuce, other veggie waste, egg shells, yard waste (grass, leaves, twigs, bonsaid clippings, news paper and cardboard without ink, possibly this compostable plastic cup i got at the farmer's market...)

and hopefully I will be growing (SOME of the following. if I grew everything in the list, i would need the whole backyard which i can't do because its not really my backyard):

spinach
lettuce
cucumbers
tomatoes
carrots
onions
beets
potatoes
peas
some kind of berry (i can grow strawberries in a strawberry pot, so it wont take up space in the garden)
some kind of squash (not pumpkins, since they have to grow on a hill)
herbs (basil, thyme, mint, etc.)
mushrooms
